Mark Dusenbury, Ph.D.

Mark Dusenbury is an Associate Professor at the University of North Dakota.  In addition to his teaching duties, he serves as the Assistant Chair of Assessment for the Department of Aviation, overseeing the accreditation of all the academic programs.  Mark also serves on the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI) Board of Trustees.  In addition, he also serves on the Accreditation Committee and as a visiting team chair for AABI.  Mark’s role with AABI provides him first-hand experience in the accreditation process both from an institutional and national accreditation body level.  Prior to his return to academia, he served in the United States Marine Corps along with flying in the corporate and airline world.

Shayne Daku

Shayne Daku is an Assistant Professor at the University of North Dakota.  In addition to his teaching duties, he serves on the UND Aerospace Assessment Committee which oversees accreditation for all seven UND Aerospace degrees. Shayne has co-authored two aviation textbooks, has a role on the NBAA CAM Governing Board, and conducts research on the career development and aspirations of young aviation professionals. Prior to returning to academia, Shayne was a Captain for Air Wisconsin Airlines Corporation.

Shayne holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautics with a major in Commercial Aviation, a Master’s Degree in Instructional Design and Technology, and is completing his Doctorate Degree in Educational Research (Spring 2020 graduation).
